Dear Hornet Family:
I am so excited about the upcoming football season. The state rankings have us ranked number three in the state for our division. This means we are going to have many victories this year, and I am sure the stands are going to be full of fans who are coming to cheer our team on to a victory.
We have had some changes in the handbook this year in regards to student behavior and student attendance at football games and sporting events. Please refer to the student handbook. Students in grades K-6 must be accompanied by an adult (a person who is 18 years of older) to attend a game. They must remain in their care the entire time. Students in grades 7-12 are required to be seated in the student section or with their parent/adult who accompanied them to the game. The student section has been established in the last section of the home bleachers. Students who are not in compliance with the handbook will not be admitted into the game. Our SRO will escort the students back to their vehicle or their parents will be called to pick up the child.
The handbook also explains the “Twenty Minute Rule.” Students must secure transportation within 20 minutes of the conclusion of an event. Students who fail to meet this criterion will lose privileges to attend events for the rest of the semester.
These rules have been implemented to maintain the safety of our students and patrons who come to football games or sporting events. The gate will open one hour before the game begins, and admission is five dollars for adults and four dollars for students.
Our Home Varsity Football Schedule is:
August 31 VS Mountain Pine @ 7:30 p.m.
September 28 VS Gurdon @ 7:00 P.m.
October 5 (Homecoming) VS Dierks @ 7:00 p.m.
October 19 (Senior Nigh) VS Foreman 7:00 p.m.
October 26 VS Lafayette County @ 7:00 p.m.
Let’s get ready for some football. This is going to be an exciting year for our team!
